Asia-Pacific Climate Week: Carbon Pricing and Markets in the Asia-Pacific
Location: Room “MR-G” at the United Nations Conference Centre.
The World Bank, Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC), and IETA are teaming up at Asia-Pacific Climate Week. The Asia-Pacific region includes the major emerging economies of the world. With an increasing growth trajectory, this region has an ever-increasing demand on energy and therefore also the greatest potential as well as need for climate action. To raise our collective climate ambition, stakeholders from government, private sector, and civil society must come together to urgently and significantly increase climate action. This will require cooperation, through financing, market mechanisms and technology. As a result, before APCW officially begins, the World Bank, CPLC, and IETA will host a full-day of panels and discussions on Carbon Pricing and Markets in the Asia-Pacific.
The full day event on “Carbon Pricing and Markets in the Asia-Pacific” will take place on September 3rd from 8:45AM to 5:30PM.
