The Synergy of Innovative Technologies and Carbon Market Developments in Achieving Net Zero Carbon in the GCC Region

The Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC) in collaboration with Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (DCCE), Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC), EU-GCC Clean Energy Technology Network and ENGIE invite you to attend a virtual workshop at the occasion of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.

There are ongoing efforts in the GCC region towards a low carbon future and the status of net zero targets by companies and authorities in the region. The flagship projects and technologies under consideration, and some of the key issues that needed to be addressed to expedite the deployment of these technologies will be outlined at this workshop.

Panelists will discuss how the development of low carbon technologies and projects such as CCS, CCU or green hydrogen, in the region can contribute simultaneously to the Net Zero and climate change goals and the benefits it can bring for GCC economies. The panel will explore how existing capacities can be leveraged to unleash the region to be a key player in the evolution of regional and international markets to support climate action, carbon mitigation and the pathways towards a low carbon future.
