The interplay between carbon pricing, carbon markets, and net-zero goals will feature prominently in COP26 discussions. This high-level event hosted by Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada and the Right Honourable Lord Barker of Battle, High-Level Co-Chair of the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition, will focus on the critical role of stringent carbon pricing systems in achieving global net zero emissions, highlighting leadership to date, and how carbon pricing can unlock private sector investment to build a net zero future. It will address issues of - and best practices surrounding - equity and transparency, to help advance inclusive international dialogue and identify how to further foster collaboration, with the ultimate goal of broader global adoption of pricing as a central element in climate policy.
