Nine Options to use Internal Carbon Pricing in Procurement
Recently, Ecofys, a Navigant company and The Generation Foundation published new research on Nine Options to use Internal Carbon Pricing in Procurement, explaining how companies and governments can use internal carbon pricing (ICP) to work with their suppliers and future-proof their supply chain. ICP is a tool that can help governments and businesses identify the most optimal way to reduce their own carbon footprint and strengthen their position in the transition to a low-carbon economy. It attaches a monetary value to the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of goods and services, translating the low-carbon transition into a uniform metric that can influence financial decisions and change behaviour within an organisation as well as externally in its sphere of influence.
