Carbon Pricing Workshop (Zurich)

March 8-11, 2016

A series of carbon pricing events organized by the World Bank Group in collaboration with the Government of Switzerland will be held in Zurich from March 8-11, 2016

The first event, “Carbon pricing: Sustaining the momentum after COP21”, will be held on Tuesday, March 8th. This high-level event, organized jointly by the World Bank Group and the Government of Switzerland, will set the stage for the following days and feature the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition. The workshop will focus on the implications of the Paris Agreement for the carbon pricing agenda worldwide (e.g., its role in Nationally Determined Contributions and new perspectives for linking) and discuss the potential of enhanced cooperation between the public and the private sectors. All sessions will include high-level representatives and prominent experts from governments, the business community and civil society.
